Medieval Event October 19th

Are you fascinated by history? Interested in recreating the ancient world and the world of the Middle Ages? Wishing there were Ren Faire type events in Montreal?

Well guess what!  October 19th is your opportunity to join the Society for Creative Anachronism in reenacting the historical world at our event Border Spat: Infestation!

This plague-themed event features heavy weapons and rapier combat, workshops on medieval arts & science, a court reenactment, and a medieval feast.  Members of the Society for Creative Anachronism from the Quebec & Eastern Canada, and East Coast US areas will compete against members from Ontario to determine which Kingdom has what it takes to cure our populace from a mysterious "plague"! You can choose a side, or join in the fun as a mercenary!

Event Date: Saturday, October 19th, beginning 10am, ending 10pm
Event Location: Centre communitaire Paul Emile Lepine, 150 Boul Ile Perrot, Ile Perrot, QC, J7V 3G1

Event Cost: $22 ($5 discount for paid members of the Society for Creative Anachronism)
$5 for children aged 5 to 12, children 4 & under may enter free

Feast Cost: $8
The registration deadline for the feast is September 30th.
There is a maximum of 60 places at the feast. A day board lunch is included in the event fee. There is a bar on site, but BYOB is not permitted.

Who will be in attendance?
Society members take on a "persona" - a historical character whom they portray when they attend society events.  Lords & Ladies from any historical period before 1600 will be represented: ancient Romans, Celts, Renaissance Europeans, Mongols, Knights, and more!

What should you wear?
We have plenty of "loaner gear" that you can borrow for the event - Society members make or buy their own garb, of varying levels of historical accuracy and complexity, but if you would like to borrow some gear, please let us know in advance.

How do I register?
Fill out the form at to let us know you're coming!
